Private Sailing Family Adventure — Catamaran Tour

Tour overview
Some travel memories are made at the resort pool. The best ones are made on the water. The Private Sailing Family Adventure puts your whole family — kids, parents, grandparents, even the family dog — on a private catamaran sailing the turquoise Caribbean coast of Punta Cana, with three hours of snorkeling, paddleboarding, diving lessons, and a natural pool stop that your kids will be describing to their friends for years.
This is a fully private experience. The catamaran is yours — your group, your pace, your afternoon. No strangers, no shared timeline, and no compromise on the parts that matter most. Hotel pickup is included, the snacks and drinks are flowing from the moment you board, and every activity on the water is guided by professionals who know how to make it work for every age.
What happens on this tour
Your driver picks up the whole family from your hotel lobby and transfers you directly to the marina. From the moment you step on board the catamaran, the afternoon belongs to you.
The first stop is the coral reef for a guided snorkeling session. Your guide enters the water with the group, points out the fish, and makes sure everyone — including the kids — feels confident and comfortable. Snorkeling gear is provided on board.
Next up: paddleboarding. Stand-up paddleboarding in calm Caribbean water is one of those activities that looks harder than it is — within minutes, even first-timers are gliding across the surface. It's one of the highlights for kids and adults alike.
The Scuba diving lessons takes your group underwater for 30 minutes using surface-supplied air — no tank, no certification, no experience required. Your instructor guides the entire session from start to finish. What you see below the surface of the Punta Cana coast is genuinely impressive.
The catamaran then makes its way to the natural pool — a shallow sandbank in the open Caribbean where the water is warm, clear, and barely reaches your waist. The kids can wade, splash, and play while the adults take in one of the most surreal settings in the Dominican Republic.
Throughout the tour, snacks and drinks are served on board. The family package includes nachos and cheese, a fresh fruit platter, creamy yogurt, assorted juices, delicious cookies, mamajuana, and an open bar. The goal is simple: your family never has to think about anything except enjoying the moment.

FAQs
Q: Is this tour really private — or will other people join? A: It's genuinely private. The catamaran is exclusively for your group, with a maximum of 15 passengers. No other families, no strangers, and no shared schedule. Everything runs at your pace. Q: How old do kids need to be for the diving lesson? A: The diving lesson is suitable for children who are comfortable in water and can follow basic instructions from the guide. No prior experience is required — your instructor is in the water with your group the entire time. For very young children, the guide will assess comfort level on the day. Q: Can non-swimmers participate? A: Yes. Life vests are available for the entire duration of the tour, snorkeling takes place in calm, supervised conditions, and the natural pool stop is shallow enough for young children to stand. Your guide is always in the water with the group. Q: What time should we be ready for hotel pickup? A: Our team will confirm your exact pickup time when your reservation is processed. Pickup is typically 30–45 minutes before the tour departure. We recommend being in your hotel lobby and ready at the confirmed time to ensure a smooth start. Q: Is the catamaran pet friendly? A: Yes — well-behaved pets are welcome on board. Please mention this at the time of booking so we can prepare accordingly. Q: How far in advance do I need to book? A: A minimum of 48 hours' advance notice is required to confirm your reservation. We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during peak season, as private catamaran slots fill quickly.
