What happens on this tour
The buggy adventure begins at the ranch with a safety briefing and vehicle assignment. Solo or two-seater configurations available. The trail cuts through tropical forest, past Dominican villages, across creek crossings, and along open countryside tracks where you can really open the throttle — before arriving at the dramatic, unspoiled shores of Macao Beach. Get as muddy as you like. The beach at the end will clean you up.
Monkeyland is home to a colony of free-roaming squirrel monkeys who have no fear of humans and zero hesitation about using your shoulder as a perch. The interaction is completely unscripted — the monkeys approach on their own terms, which makes every encounter feel genuinely spontaneous. Your guide shares information about squirrel monkey biology and the conservation mission behind the facility.
