Cocotal Golf & Country Club is one of the most beloved courses in Punta Cana — and one of the most accessible. Located directly across from the Meliá and Paradisus Resorts in the heart of the Bávaro hotel zone, just 25 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport, it's the course that fits perfectly into any vacation itinerary.
Designed by Pepe Gancedo — six-time Spanish Champion and widely known as the "Picasso of golf course design" — this 27-hole championship layout winds through a spectacular landscape of coconut palms, tropical jungle and numerous lakes. Gancedo followed the natural lay of the land when designing every hole, and the result is a course that feels organic and alive at every turn. Bermuda grass greens, 5 sets of tees from 5,135 to 7,289 yards, and a genuinely relaxed atmosphere make Cocotal the perfect round for players of all abilities.
What happens on this tour
Hotel pickup from your Punta Cana or Bávaro resort and private transfer to Cocotal — one of the shortest drives to any course in the area. Check in at the Pro Shop and warm up on the driving range with practice balls before your round.
You play 18 holes in 4 hours on a beautifully maintained championship layout. Drinks — beer, water and sodas — are included on the course. The GPS cart keeps you moving through the layout, which shifts between coconut palm corridors, jungle stretches and lakeside holes that reward both accuracy and patience.
After the round, the Hazard Sports Bar in the clubhouse is the perfect place to relive the highlights with a cold drink before your transfer back to the hotel.

Is Cocotal suitable for beginner golfers? Absolutely. Cocotal is one of the most beginner-friendly courses in Punta Cana. The relaxed atmosphere, accessible layout and helpful staff make it a great first round for anyone new to the game — and a great value for experienced players too. What is the Twilight rate and when does it start? Twilight rates start after 2:00 PM — $126 in high season, $108 in low season. Note that there is no guarantee of completing all 18 holes depending on pace of play and daylight. It's a great option for an afternoon game. Are caddies available at Cocotal? Caddies are not mandatory at Cocotal. A shared GPS golf cart is included in your green fee. What happens if I'm a single player? Single players are welcome. You will be paired with other golfers on the day to complete a group. Can I cancel if my plans change? Yes — free cancellation up to 24 hours before your tee time. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable.
